How to transport liquids, aerosols and gels
Packaging for liquids
Liquids, gels and / or aerosols must be packed in a transparent and sealable plastic bag.
The size of the plastic bag should be 1/4 liter and can hold containers with a maximum capacity of 3 oz (90 ml) per container.
Presentation of the packaging bag
The clear plastic bag must be completely closed or sealed and the containers must fit perfectly.
This bag must be ready to be checked separately at the security inspection point.
Allowed liquid item
These are the items that you can carry in your luggage that you must declare if they are not packed in a sealable transparent plastic bag:
- Containers of baby milk, including breast milk or baby or child food, if you are traveling with a baby
- Liquid, gel or aerosol medications
- Liquids, juices or gels for diabetics or to meet other medical needs.
- Liquids, gels and / or aerosols that can be carried in checked baggage
- Liquids, beverages, gels and / or aerosols that were purchased in the secure area of the airport to be brought into the cabin.
Maximum capacity of your containers with liquids
If you carry liquids in your carry-on luggage, remember that the maximum limit is 1,000 ml (1 liter total) distributed in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml. These all must be inside a sealable transparent plastic bag.
Liquids that you can carry in checked luggage
If you carry liquids in your checked luggage, you must remember that you can carry a total of 5 liters that must be distributed among containers, each with a maximum capacity of 1,000 ml (1 liter) All containers must go inside a sealable transparent plastic bag and the containers must preferably be plastic.
United States
If your trip is to or from the United States and you have powdered substances in your hand luggage, such as talcum powder, makeup, proteins, among others; Except for prescription substances and baby formulas, their packaging cannot exceed 350 ml (12 oz). Otherwise your luggage is subject to additional inspection in the security filters. if these items exceed the allowed quantities you must transport these substances in your checked luggage

Lithium batteries for devices such as laptops, cell phones, and cameras should be packed in your carry-on luggage.
